Professor Graeme Evans is director of the Cities Institute, a multidisciplinary research institute working across sustainable urban environments and design, transport, housing and regeneration. Post graduate courses include MA in Cities Design and Regeneration which combines urban design and regeneration policy and management skills, and a new MA in City Regeneration with a pathway in 'Health and Regeneration'. Short courses/CPD are run in Geoknowledge using GIS as an urban design and planning tool. Health sector research includes transport access and inclusive design, and health and regeneration - including Homerton Hospital, Hackney; North East and North Central Strategic Health Authorities, including Barts and the London NHS Trust. Related research includes housing conditions and health impacts, and housing design for the elderly. LondonMet is currently developing a university-wide health strand to its provision, building on current health, social work and design teaching and research.
