Announcement of the AfH Design Awards Shortlist 2013

We are delighted to announce the shortlist for this year’s AfH Design Awards. From a record number of entries, we are please to present the 6 shortlisted projects in alphabetical order :

Future Hospital Hub by JCA
Glenside Health Services , Adelaide South Australia by Medical Architecture
Hampshire Cancer Treatment Centre by BDP
Private Patients Facility and Radiotherapy Suite at Basingstoke Hospital by Paul Murphy Architects
Royal Liverpool University Hospital Redevelopment, Liverpool by NBBJ
Torbay Hospital, Torquay, Devon by Avanti Architects

The presentation of the 3 awards will take place at 5pm on Tuesday 8th October at our exhibition stand at the IHEEM conference.

What else are we doing at IHEEM?

We are also organising 2 strand events on the main conference programme on Tuesday 8th October:

at 2pm Modern environments for dementia and mental health services with Teva Hesse from CF Muller and Stepanie Brady from Wilmott Dixon Construction Ltd

at 4pm. How can we do more with less? 10 things that must be done to the NHS Estate presented by John Cooper, Chair and Christopher Shaw, Executive Member of Architects for Health.

John Cooper will also take part in a panel discussion and question time on Wednesday 9 Oct at 10 am.

Susan Francis will present a review of recent events and activities on Tuesday 8 Oct at 10.30 in the Exhibition Hall.
