RIBAJAfH together with the RIBA Journal, announced the launch of the Phil Gusack Essay Prize, at their Annual General Meeting, last month.
Phil was a long time supporter of Architects for Health, and chief ‘agent provocateur’ during many lively debates. It is this essence of Phil, which we wish to be captured within the written submissions for this Inaugural Prize.

We were delighted to be joined by Phil’s sister, Pauline and other members of the judging panel, including John Allan (Author and Architect), Susan Francis, John Cooper (former AfH chairman) and Hugh Pearman (RIBAJ editor).

Submissions are invited, to this Open Award, with a deadline for entries of 1st September 2014. Together with a generous monetary prize, the winner will have their essay published in full, within the RIBAJ and on the AfH website.

It is hoped that this Award, will in part, continue Phil’s legacy of promoting healthy provocative debate.
To find out more and how to enter.
