MIND | MEND | MATTER

Building visits (and Study Tours) are a highlight of the AfH calendar and a great opportunity to go behind the scenes with both architect and client to understand the drivers behind a design.

This year, we are looking forward to visiting projects across the UK which fit with our new thought leadership streams of ‘Mind‘, ‘Mend‘ and ‘Matter‘.

If you have a scheme you feel merits inclusion in our programme of visits then let us know by completing this form: https://forms.gle/eHVJCEQ3eVCYZxWVA

The team will evaluate all submissions, and, if they fit our ‘stream’ criteria, work with the current AfH calendar and are likely to generate a strong response from AfH members, we’ll be in touch!

 Projects can be under construction, complete (unoccupied) or occupied, but need to meet the following requirements:

✅ Showcase best practice / new thinking in the design or delivery of healthcare services;
✅ Have the support (and ideally involvement) of the client/occupier/estates team for the visit;
✅ Have capacity for two groups of 10 visitors to tour the project, each with their own guide;
✅ Can provide a meeting room/space on-site for initial briefing;
✅ Be (reasonably) accessible by public transport;
✅ You can clearly identify when in the year a building visit would be possible, so it can be be planned and promoted well in advance.
✅ You are available on the day to host.
